"I tweet more than I breathe." -- This is what I always say to tweeple. It's crazy how much I'm addicted to tweeting. Some would say it's an excuse for spamming, self-promotion and stalking and yea, I'll give you that BUT for me it's for an entirely different reason. But trust me, right now I’ve got a potty mouth like a British football hooligan whose team is about to lose. Thing is, I just don’t display it for the entire world to hear. The venom that was Dana Valencia. The venom that was me.

I don’t exactly call myself a bully. Hell, I didn’t have any reason to hate. I didn’t have any “scars” or whatever shit “damaged” people have gone through in their distinct morbid pasts. Hell, I am not weak. I am sure I wouldn’t end up like one of those wretched people who cut their wrists, smoke like a fucking human chimney, and wrap themselves in black faking the slurring talk.

They say that things happen for a reason. Dark things happen for just as a dark reason. People hurt themselves for a dark reason, take drugs for a dark reason, drink until their livers give up for a dark reason, and make other people feel like shit for a dark reason.

I don’t really have a dark reason. At least, that is what I believe.

But I admit that I might be mad for being callous to other people’s pain. I might be mad for being a tad too interested in other people’s weaknesses.

“You are a very dangerous one, Dana Valencia,” a friend once told me. If it weren’t for her chuckling three seconds after, my heart would have stopped beating and I’d die right then and there for the bluntness of her words. There was a noticeable tinge of bitterness in her voice that she resiliently tried to suppress and the bitter taste crept along my spine up to my deadened brain. Flashbacks then plunged into my mind like spiteful daggers thrown mercilessly. It’s true; I had been a ruthless bitch. Many, many times before.

And as much as I try to hide guilt from everything and everyone I’ve fucked up, and as much as I would love to move on and breathe in an untroubled life as a harmless, nontoxic human being, the thought that I am indeed a “living venom” crashes upon me like an unforgiving reality.

The venom that ~~was~~ is Dana Valencia. The venom that ~~was~~ is me.

For some stupid and unexpected reason, I am held responsible for other people’s lives. So that entitles me of causing them enough pain, even shattering them to pieces, and this is what frightens me the most. If I started to care, if I started to hold onto them, if I started to share my life with them, I have also begun to contaminate them that might also possibly destroy them in the end. I don’t know what people should call me. A Patron tequila shot? A conspirator? A parasite? A vampire, perhaps? I haven’t got any idea but I’m akin to all of those treacherous things. Once I’ve discovered your weak spot, I will go pacing around that and if I fancy attacking you, I would use it shamelessly against you. It’s alarming, even for me. And this is exactly why I refuse to be in a fucking intense linkage with any breathing creature. I might as well sleep with a pillow or talk to a brick wall. That way, there’s no “hurting the other one” involved.

Have seen me pointless

Have seen me with a fag in my mouth but, really, you know very well that I DON'T EFFING DO CIGARETTES;

Know I'm an ‘only daughter’ and sandwiched in the family tree by a couple of barmy, nosy brahs;

Know that I can't live without noodles (ramen in particular);

Know that I have a serious case of ADHD and you bloody know just how to handle me;

Believe that deep inside I'm quite a good person (with an orange halo!) though I usually (and deliberately) give off a snobbish or biotchy impression;

Know when it's time to stop handing me vodka shots (the heavy yet elated scarlet eyes, the “conyo” talk, and the purring sound!);

Are able to tolerate my moods but I'm just always soooo effing energetic and loquacious (which exhausts you most of the time);

Know which outrageous song I will sing first on karaoke;

Know what instrument I will grab first during RockBand gigathons;

Have found out that I'm best with friendly-fires (Shows what kind of mate I really am, eh?);

Know when smth's wrong with me (that is sometimes toooo obvious);

Automatically assume that I prolly won't reply to your text messages because I simply hate texting;

Know that every so often I’m weird so I'd talk about how different the sky’s shades of blue are compared to yesterday;

Know that I can’t sleep without a tad of luminosity and a comfy duvet, and I snore;

Know that I turn into an effing schizo – talking to myself or to my laptop during paper crammings;

Have seen me at my worst (probably when I have an incredibly runny nose or my puffy eyes without the eyeliner);

Know my most disgusting habits like munching on dead skin cells around my fingernails;

Have seen some of my old artworks as I don't really swank about them much now;

Know when I'm full of bullshit or not;

Know how to pacify me when I'm out of control;

Know what frightens me the most (i.e. men wearing huge black gas masks who look like mad terrorists or lunatic Anthrax-slayers or just plain psychos);

Know when to slap me;

Know when to give me a hug.

Now, let’s re-evaluate our relationship here. Are you truly a real friend of mine? If you are then CONGRATULATIONS! You’ve survived one nightmare of a friendship.

And seriously, when will "moments of doubt" stop being "moments" and simply become "doubt"?

What bugs me the most are people who judge others hastily. It’s like you can’t even defend yourself and disprove them ‘coz the second they get curbed, they shut you out completely.

Snobbish, stuck-up little bitch – this is what has been repeatedly said to me. Bollocks. Complete and utter bollocks. It may be my thick eyeliner or the way my eyes squint when I look at other people. It may be my frosty, almost husky voice or the blasé way I talk to other people. Show them a tat or put a cigarette stick between my fingers and I might give people within ten metres of me constant panic or even a heart attack. But that’s not even me.

Thing is, people form opinions about me way too early. Thoughtlessly, even. Because, seriously, try spending a couple of minutes with me and you’ll see. Get to know me and you might just feel motivated to write my biography. I’m not swanking or anything but I’m telling you matter-of-factly, you’ll ultimately love me.

I am playful. Full of beans. Incredibly naughty. I love teasing as much as I love munching on Dairy Queen Chocolate Almond Blizzard almond bits. I like having fun. I like making fun of people. But it’s a cute way of having fun and a cute way of making fun of people.

I may assume a role of having to quench moments of silence but I am a good listener too (or at least I think I am) if I choose to. I can spend all day talking about anything under the sun even debating about fonts, “Baby Boys”, and the wonders of cellphone recycling. That random. I wouldn’t mind wasting time getting to know a person.

Having said that, I love talking about your life as much as I love blabbing about mine. I ask a lot of questions too. And a lot more follow-up queries. Oh and, dear, I won’t stop ‘til you raise the white flag and call it a day.

Ask me what my favorite flower is and I'll say it's Dianthus. It's not really because it starts with the letter D (well, yea, that's one of the reasons) and it's not just because it is, after all, my birth flower; but it's also due to the fact that dianthuses indeed do represent me. Distinction is the key word.

Dianthus (Greek for Jove's flower). Caryophyllaceae. Pink. Small herbs, many of them prized for their rich and showy flowers in the open garden. Some of them are deliciously fragrant. Dianthus is the Latin name for carnation which means "divine flower".

The carnation is the January birth flower. Carnations have been cultivated for the last 2,000 years. Originally from the East, these hardy and fragrant flowers have the flower meaning of pride, beauty, fascination, love and distinction. Hear, hear!

I was nineteen. I was having the time of my life – savouring the thought of not having to care, not being held back or chained up to anything. When I met you, things changed for me. I was terrified because you had that certain hold on me. I tried to escape only to find myself falling back into your arms. It was too potent. I woke up one morning and told myself I can’t let this happen. I can’t fall for you because I was afraid that ultimately either one of us is going to get hurt. I can’t be paralyzed without you. I can’t let myself be that close to you. I just can’t. I felt like a ticking bomb. It’s as if you can’t go anywhere near me because with slight contact, I might abruptly explode. The thought of us having an expiration date scared the hell out of me. It was crazy.

I ignored you just because I had to let go of those feelings. I mean, how could this possibly happen? To me? The girl who is always in control of things? The one who knows exactly what she wants and is always so certain about things? That time, I wasn’t so sure anymore. So I kept pushing you away, thinking it’ll make these unsettled feelings set off along with you. But they didn’t. And pushing you away? It was the dumbest thing I’ve ever done in my life.

It has always been like fate is constantly finding a way of bringing us together. When I needed someone, you were there waiting for me to call your name. When I’m having a bad day, you were there standing at the end of the staircase with the sole purpose of making me laugh at the end of the day. Corny jokes. But they make every ill feeling seem lighter anyway. Yet every time you’re there, what do I do? I look away right away. Avoiding destiny. Running away from chance. Chance to get closer. Chance to spend time together. Chance to finally admit to myself that I indeed was feeling something. And I knew it. Still, I pretended that I didn’t buy it.

Those movie nights spent just the two of us – the comfortable silence, the sharing of cereals, chips, and chocolates, the smirks and sarcastic remarks. Do you remember? After the movie, when the credits roll, we will both stare at the TV screen for about eight seconds and then laugh in unison right after. Then, we’ll talk about just how silly, mushy, or feel-good the film was and then end the day with a sweet heart-melting line: “We should do this more often.” A sweet simple hug then I’m off to my room. It was so cute.

I feel brutal for trying to hold back my emotions. You got nothing from me, that is. Not even a tinge of care. And I hate myself for being so unfair to you. I know you didn’t deserve any of this. Maybe you really just don’t deserve me. I’m sorry.

Then again, everything’s my fault. It was such a maddening long game of Hide and Seek. Perhaps Serendipity got tired eventually. Perhaps Serendipity got tired of me.

A/N | I don't normally blog like this but I was inspired by the profane yet wicked language of my barmy Brit mates. Hahah. Oh and I may have written this in 1st person POV but it doesn't necessarily mean that I'm the one being depicted in this senseless shower of thoughts. Don't assume. Don't judge.

Count the number of times I wrote "fuck" and "dude" if you're that bored.

Riding on this jeepney, seems like people are seated too far away from me. Do I look that fucking scary? I can see from the corner of my eye, creepy stares from afar.

Fuck. It's so hot! I took out my iTouch and decided to go through some notes... Shit! My KFC fries are all soggy now. Good thing this HotShots saved my fucking *hungry-to-death* day!

Wait. Interesting note I have right here: "I hate Valentine's Day". No fucking bollocks.

All of a sudden, someone takes a seat next to me. Do you really have to sit this fucking close to me!? G'sakes! It's mad hot already. Where are the rain dancers when you need them?

People kept coming into our jeepney. Yea, our jeepney. Because I've been fucking sitting here all the way from the terminal. It's been twenty minutes and both my head and my arse are fucking grilled now. Twenty-fucking-minutes of putting my fingers in and out of this KFC HotShots box of awesomeness and twenty-fucking-minutes of pretending I'm entertained by my iTouch. I need a beer. A can of Heineken, to be exact.

This person next to me... Poor dude. He's been handing in other passengers' fares to the driver for over 10 minutes now. Give the dude a fucking break! Dude has no fucking choice though. By now, you may have noticed that I named this person, Dude.

No, really. Poor Dude. Have some fucking mercy, will you? Dude has got some fantastic patience and self-control. No complaining or grunting heard yet. I'm quite impressed.

Hmmm... Dude has got nice hair. Nice scent too. But damn it's still so fucking hot and I'm still damn bored. I need to sprinkle this oven-like day some spice! Perhaps throw a fucking bowl of spice in!

A little less than five minutes 'til destination. What to do... What to do? Do what you're friggin' good at! Alright. Poor Dude sitting next to me, I wanna start a game.

And poor Dude, you are my fucking victim. Lo siento.

Dude passed on yet another fare to the driver. A passenger is waiting for his change... The driver stretched out his right hand backwards to return change. I grabbed it quickly just seconds before Dude. I have mercy. Or let me show some mercy. I still have a heart, y'know.

-- Perhaps you've been a bit taken aback by my sudden show of compassion. I like that. I try to hide the smirk on my face. Back to the scene --

I took the change from the driver and slowly, carefully moved my hand to find his. Slowly and carefully, one by one, I handed Dude the change. Skin to skin. I can feel the tension now. I'm making him really nervous. I'm absolutely loving this! He felt it too. He's turned awkward, truth be told. Dude indeed fucking felt it! Welcome to the game, Player 2.

Round 1. Fight! I bit my lower lip. Hoping Dude won't notice me struggling to keep myself from smiling. I failed as a half-smile escaped from my face. Boo me!

"Don't Jedi mind-trick me." I can somehow read his thoughts. After all, I'm the Queen of Fucking Mind Games, innit? His movements are starting to bother me now. Dude's nerves are betraying him. I do kick arse in this game. Whizzer!

I bet Dude's fucking racking his brain right about now. I can feel his eyes boring into me. He's probably thinking, "What the hell does she want?" Perhaps Dude wants some answers. A legit response. A wink or a smile, at least. 3 Combo Hit! I gave him neither. I rummaged through my gym bag to look for my phone... Checked 4 unread messages. Too lazy to reply. So much for my fake apathy. I need to strike more. More action. Fucking hot and boring.

A glance sideways in Dude's direction... Fuck! Dude's squirming and sweating. I'm not sure if it's the weather or this fucking tension from this game we're playing.

Time remaining: 45 seconds
I can't pretend anymore! It's time for the Finishing Move - my killer stare! I said 'stare', NOT glare! Bam! Hot! -- Both Dude and the weather. So fucking nice and fucking hot. It's the clash of spark-filled stares. Then I looked away. K.O.! Player 1 Wins! I turned to the driver and asked him to stop. I got off the jeepney with an uppish smile.

Dude's left inside sitting with a questioning look. His eyes squinting. I may be the first one to leave but I fucking won. Chuckling, I hop-skipped towards the waiting shed and gave my boyfriend the biggest kiss.

Game Over.

There are only a few things in life that I truly fear. These are 1) things that are out of my control; 2) exceptionally frightening gigantic waves; 3) total darkness; 4) getting my heart broken or a failed relationship; and 5) purely giving someone my heart.

It actually takes a lot of guts to divulge one’s 'Achilles' Heel' but I personally believe I have nothing to lose. This, in fact, helps me a lot in understanding myself more – what needs to be improved and what has to be thrashed.

Ever since I was little, I have been a ~~monster~~ control-freak. I hate it when things don’t go my way; I only enjoy things that are within my control. Thus, my irrevocable dislike of roller coasters. Unlike bump cars which I dearly fancied as you get to steer the wheel and decide wherever you want to go, with roller coasters you are the one being manipulated and you never know what could happen next. But don’t misconstrue that as favoring predictability – I love surprises and random things as well.

Although my dad’s a ship’s captain, I have always hated the waves – especially the huge ones! It just makes me nauseous. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy looking at the sea and the serenity it brings but sailing on it or swimming in it is rather a different story. Especially if you just get hit by the waves and you get knocked down to the seafloor with all those creepy entangling underwater creatures surrounding you. Eeek! Sea anemones are cool though.

I sleep with the light on, there you go. I bet some of you didn’t know that I am afraid of the dark. It is basically due to the fact that I was blessed with an over-imaginative mind which makes me hallucinate from time to time and this freaks me out in the middle of the night. It’s weird but darkness makes me see things and at times it suffocates me. Thus, making a lampshade or even a mere flashlight a requirement whenever I go to sleep.

4 and 5 are very much connected. Although 4 is more of like me being afraid of failures. I can't bear them. Rejections or closed doors, defeats, slip-ups, and things like that – they all sting like hell. The idea of being a failure is even more sickening. This pride of mine is the reason why it hurts a great deal. I got a big ego and a tiny scratch on this could make me suffer grievously.

Truth be told, I’m terrified of commitment all because I’m afraid of getting hurt. I’m scared of the pain, of the shame, and of the hard blow to my huge ego that disastrous relationships ultimately bring. Then again, why the hell would I be scared of a failed relationship when I don’t even want to start one?

If I'm to be asked which show is the barmiest on the planet -- Without blinking, I'd proclaim, "It's Victoria's Secret *effin'* Fashion Show!" Two words: FEROZ y FABULOSO.

From the very first moment I've ogled at those gigantic posters of the "Angels" while dancing around racks and racks of adorable VS Pink undies in a majestic Victoria's Secret lingerie shop at Santa Monica Promenade, there hasn't been a second that the prestigious line left my side. Perhaps some of you are unaware but I ONLY wear VS undergarments. Sure, this is just a proof that undies really do make a girl feel more like, well, ~~flirty~~ girly. Confident and utterly fabulous. Haha!

But what really made me more passionate about the entire VS Queendom are the incredibly unique and sexxxxxy fashion shows they boast every year that make people sigh and mutter, "Amazeballs..." From the showstopping models, lovely Pink undies, mind-blowing runway, funky music, to the million dollar worth diamond-studded bra -- seems like there's no stopping the VS mania. Each year is full of glitters, stars, and jaw-dropping surprises! For Victoria's Secret, this is just the beginning.

Now, let's take a look at the FUNtabulous 2009 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show that was shown on December 2nd. Gotta love the leet music (Black Eyed Peas, Kings of Leon, The Script, Leona Lewis, and The Veronicas); the nautical-inspired lingerie; the quirky Miranda Kerr; the gowjus presence of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley; Abbey Lee Kershaw's killer dance moves (she effin' rocked the stage!); that lucky lucky girl -- Kylie Bisutti -- who won the model search; the rather magical "Enchanted Forest" segment; and of course, the goddess, herself, Alessandra Ambrosio who opened the show for the first time! Odd One Out at the "Building With Loads of Books"

Tuesday of last week was our enrollment (it was a special enrollment day for Graduating Students) for the new (and hopefully my last) semester so I had to go through the same old tedious ~~nightmare~~ process: Get the Form 5A from AS101 > Pre-advising > Enlistment > Post-advising > Student Fund payment > Library Clearance > Validation > Assessment > Payment of Tuition Fee. Anyhoo, once I was done paying the student fund, I headed straight to the building with loads of books (ah yeah, a place some call a "library"??) for the clearance -- and so I went inside (what's that word again? Oh right...) the "library" and lined up (mercifully, the line wasn't that long).

Finally, it was my turn. I handed out my Form 5 and ID to the librarian. She then typed in my student number on the computer to look for my record... No record showed up. Well, she missed a 7 -- she keyed in 0778, instead of 07778. She re-entered it (wrong student number) and again no record. I was like "Jeez!" though I chose to shut it (ADHD Alert). By some whisper of a gracious angel, she figured it out and decided to retype my student number. This time, she got it right but still nothing came up. Then, she looked at my surname and just searched for it... VALENCIA, Allan... VALENCIA, Catherine... VALENCIA, Joseph. Heck! A Dana Valencia is nowhere to be found! So she thought for a while and turned towards me with a flabbergasted face and uttered in mere disbelief: "You've NEVER borrowed anything from the library?!?" I shook my head and told her that I'm not really a fan of the library. The old cashier lady sitting beside her also became sort of weirded out that she was trying her hardest not to chortle. The old lady then asked me, "You've been in college for four years and you haven't borrowed a thing here? You're not getting what you're paying for, dear." I found the incredulous stares and the smirks of the students lining up behind me bloody ludicrous and amusing. The atmosphere then became too awkward for me. I felt like an idiot. Should I feel guilty?

While I was walking towards the exit, a friend of mine approached me with a mocking grin, telling me how amazing yet ridiculous it is that I'm already graduating this semester and have survived all those research papers and other academic crap without the help of the library. "See, I hate the gloominess of the library, the Grinch-like librarians, and let's just say I can do magic," I told her sheepishly.

Everyone seemed to be in shock. So I wonder: Is it really that implausible that one can survive four years in college without wandering around the dusty book shelves of the depressing library?

Way to go, D! -- seems like you have a knack for standing out for bizarre and stupid reasons.

Since I’ve ran out of zany topics and trash-talks, I’m gonna share with you my experiences abroad (which I hope are quite interesting). First off is my quick trip to Dutch East Indies -- Indonesia! In an archipelago named Riau, lays the majestic island of Batam. It was a crazy morning I had just from the nauseous ferry trip and so when my 'rents and I arrived at Batam Center Ferry Terminal, it was such a relief to spot a peaceful town filled with lovely people.

Our first stop was Waterfront City where you can do lots of fun stuff like parasailing, bungee jumping, jet skiing, and more. I’m not really sure where exactly or what’s the name of the place but I did some go-karting too which was a lot of fun!

After that, we had lunch in a seafood restaurant built on wood and bamboo overlooking the sea view of north eastern coast of Batam. The food, however, I didn’t really enjoy that much. All I saw were pots and dishes of orangey soup and vegetables! No offense but I’m not exactly a fan of spicy chows. The only things I enjoyed there were the magnificent seascape and the delightful coconut juice. Hahah!

Then, we headed to a village called Kampong where we were entertained by the villagers with their amusing performance of the traditional Kuda Lumping Dance. It was absolutely wonderful.

A good trip never ends without a visit to the shopping district and so we went to Nagoya – the center of business and commerce in Batam. This unique town (with a Japanese name) has the biggest malls on the island. I got the chance to toddle around Ramayana Shopping Center and Mega Mall Batam Center. Although the shopping malls there are nothing compared to the ones here in the Philippines, I did enjoy just walking around, enjoying the people’s culture, and talking to different people. The Indonesians are just incredibly nice and awesome people, I dare say. Actually, there was an incident where I was approached by some store employees and asked me if I was an actress or something. That was deucedly hilarious! Also, I learned a lot from Indonesian artists. I happened to pass by an art gallery where I met an extraordinary painter who introduced to me a new style of painting. He paints and designs various crafts with images of palms, dolphins, and shells – all of which are breathtaking. It was because of his influence that I began painting aquatic images and the like. His skill and style had that enormous impact on my creations until today.

After a few hours of shopping, our tour guide led us to the great Balerang Bridge where, for some weird reason, I took most of the pictures. The bridge was so highly elevated that people actually go there to ~~jump off when they're heartbroken~~ bungee jump.

No doubt, Batam is a wonderful place for a getaway! I had one of the grandest times of my life there. However, next time I’ll head off to Jakarta for a more incredible nightlife experience. Hahah!

Arrrgh! I’ve been waiting (emphasis on WAIT) and right about now it seemed like forever. Before, you go 200++ kB/s BUT now you surge less than 40 kB/s!?! What the hell is wrong with you!?! Gawd! (No, I’m not crazy and yes, I’m speaking to my Torrent DLer.) And since you are so stupidly sluggish (I’m still talking to the DLer…), I’m gonna talk about other stuff for the time being. So yeah, I’ve been staring at the computer screen waiting for a certain movie to be DLed. This ‘certain movie’ is some American film with witty Chinese characters and I heard it’s actually pretty cool and pretty useful since the Chinese actors in the film have pretty awesome English grammars and vocabularies. Oh! Hear, hear! I’m actually excited to see this one ‘coz it’s been eons since I’ve watched non-shallow, non-asinine actresses and scenes that will force you to activate your brain cells once in a while. Regarding the Chinese, I really think they have a cute accent especially when they’re speaking in English (with an adorable American tone). I just can’t get enough of it! I just wanna throw myself at them when they chatter so fast with that accent! Mmmm! Okay, this is way too much – bordering on lunacy already. Hmmm… let me check out the “Queen of all ~~Trash-talking~~ Media” Perez Hilton’s site. Maybe there will be some scorching attention-grabbing gossip…

For a second, I actually ‘equated’ your obsession to vegan diet to ~~whacko~~ Tom Cruise’s devotion, even the mere belief, to Scientology. Too much! Tsk tsk.

Miley Cyrus getting nasty… She’s growing up, people! Grow up! Sheesh. (Oh! I just remembered… I love her new song “Party in the USA”! Hahah! Admit it, it’s contagious... “And the Jay-Z song was on! And the Jay-Z song was onnnn!!!” LOL) PLUS the Miley-freak who would apparently kill her cat Fuzzy just to get Miley back to Twitter!! Sister, you have gone off your rocker!

Eeeekkk! So anyway, I just saw the latest photo of Jocelyn Wildenstein and it freaked me out! You know what? I’m really concerned about that lady. Her face is traumatizingly hideous and now I’m rather bothered that Courtney Love is hanging out with her because the latter is also on her way to the Wall of Weirdos. I guess we, human beings, are nonplussed (I just thought of using this word because it sounds intellectual for some reason) whether Wildenstein’s face is yet humanly or what. I mean, she’s akin to a melting plastic ~~Barbie~~ Tranny doll! Okay, so enough with the trash-talking.

Another topic: yeah, let’s talk about footprints or the imprints left when someone dies. For the past few months, I have been dealing with consecutive deaths and it’s somewhat depressing to mull over it. Yet on a lighter note, the mania after someone’s death is rather fascinating. I was talking to my mom (a karaoke fanatic) while she was having a pedicure and she said she wants to sing this Kenny Rogers song. I was like, “Isn’t he dead already?” And Mom replied, “No, he is not (yet)!” So I was like “Oooh! He’s the epic owner of Kenny Rogers Roasters epic chain of restaurants, right? (like DUH?!) I bet if he dies he’ll be a legend -- just like MJ and Cory Aquino.” Then, I thought of other celebrities – Oprah Winfrey, for instance. I’m certain that she’ll be more than a legend. U.S. will probably declare an Oprah Day in memory of her. I mean, she’s like a saint! She’s done sooo much for humanity. And don’t we all feel just so damn lucky we were able to live in a parallel lifetime with Oprah? The world will surely go nuts – liters of tears tantamount to the Pacific Ocean’s will be shed, and televisions will be featuring her and it will last for months, years even. I’m not sure about the suicidal groups though BUT there will be monuments, tribute concerts, books, aid organizations in her name, and a lot more. Whew… that was long.

I wanna blog about my ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) because it kinda bothers me. For the first time, I’m gonna face and try to beat the living daylights (I just thought it’s about time to use this idiom) out of my own demons, my nightmare. Welcome to the darkside, D. Wow.

Anyhoo, according to Wikipedia, people with ADHD have predominantly inattentive type symptoms. Let’s review the following symptoms to confirm if I really have ADHD:

Be easily distracted, miss details, forget things, and frequently switch from one activity to another – CHECK!
Have difficulty focusing on one thing – CHECK!
Become bored with a task after only a few minutes, unless they are doing something enjoyable – CHECK!
Have difficulty focusing attention on organizing and completing a task or learning something new – CHECK!
Have trouble completing or turning in homework assignments, often losing things (e.g., pencils, toys, assignments) needed to complete tasks or activities – errr, CHECK!
Not seem to listen when spoken to – CHEEEEECK!!!
Daydream, become easily confused, and move slowly – CHECK! (not sure about moving slow though)
Have difficulty processing information as quickly and accurately as others – CHECK!
Struggle to follow instructions. – Hmmm… CHECK?!

Predominantly hyperactive-impulsive type symptoms may include:

Fidget and squirm in their seats – Hahah! CHECK!
Talk nonstop – Laladilala! CHECK!!!
Dash around, touching or playing with anything and everything in sight – It’s fun though… CHECK!
Have trouble sitting still during dinner, school, and story time – In class and meetings, yeah! CHECK!
Be constantly in motion – Well, I’m naturally like that. CHECK!
Have difficulty doing quiet tasks or activities. – Errrr… CHECK???

and also these manifestations primarily of impulsivity:

Be very impatient – 100% CHECK!
Blurt out inappropriate comments, show their emotions without restraint, and act without regard for consequences – I have a lot of slip-ups due to my big mouth. CHECK!
Have difficulty waiting for things they want or waiting their turns in games – Just like what I’m feeling this very moment! CHECKKK!!!! (Oh noessss!)

It's only been a few years since I started getting a tad serious about photography. I like taking pictures here and there but what really inspired me is the beauty of Japan, especially Kyoto. My stay in Japan has given me the opportunity to experiment with my surroundings using camera lens. I had a blast wandering around and just clicking on the cam whenever something interesting comes to view. So here are the photos I took ever since I got my own digicam. There are several shoot locations too - from San Francisco, to Las Vegas, to Tokyo, to Kobe, to Hiroshima, and around the Philippines. Enjoy! Comments are always welcome.
